Brian A. Kane
Brian Kane represents individuals and organizations with concentrations in corporate governance, business matters, real estate and leasing, and local government. He serves as Town Attorney for Sharpsburg and Clear Spring and is honored to serve on the Maryland Supreme Court's Standing Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure. Brian has been rated "AV" Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell, is a life Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation, and has mediated hundreds of disputes as a court-appointed mediator.
James W. Stone
Jim was born and raised in Hagerstown Maryland. He has practiced law in Washington County since 1982. Jim’s current practice emphasizes business, commercial and contract law, civil litigation and appeals, corporate and partnership law, estate planning, wills and trusts, probate and estate administration, and real estate development. Before co-founding Kane & Stone, Jim was a founding principal of Kane, Wilburn & Stone for six years and a principal with Poole & Kane for six years. Before that, Jim was managing principal of Miller, Oliver, Baker, Moylan & Stone, a firm with whom he was associated for 28 years.
